Steve co-founded McKinley Partners in 2006, pursuing his dream of leading a successful real estate firm. Taking on projects in the San Francisco Bay Area, he is critical in the management of Northern California investments. At McKinley’s headquarters in downtown Walnut Creek, Steve has centralized the team to take advantage of San Francisco sprawling population into suburbs of the city. Previously to 2006, Steve was a Principal in the Acquisition and Entitlement of residential units in Northern California at Mission Valley Properties. Before this, he was the VP of Land Acquisition and Development at Catellus Development Corporation. Initiating his career path in the residential sector, Steve’s early experience includes acquisition and development at SummerHill Homes, VP of Southwest Diversified/Coscan (now known as Brookland Homes), and Project Controller/Land Acquisition Manager for the Vintage Club.

Graduating from Brigham Young University in 1981, Steve obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Management where he focused on finance, accounting, and financial planning. Following this, he received a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate and Accounting at John F. Kennedy University, bringing him to Nor Cal. Steve was recently a member of the Board of Directors of Seneca Center, a non-profit for children and families in the Bay Area. He often spends his free time on the golf course or kiteboarding.
