McKinley’s endeavor with CW Urban will bring new residential units to Salt Lake City’s Central Ninth neighborhood. The development plan transforms the old Taffy Town factory to 26 upscale living units along with the addition of 65 brand new condos. A shared lobby, common room, and outdoor roof garden above the parking structure will bridge the adaptive and new building to become one and the same. The construction will enhance the downtown while maintaining key architectural details to preserve the historic design of SLC buildings. Studio and one-bedroom units range from 460-1220SF. The primary focus of theCHARLI is to highlight the natural beauty of the existing warehouse, emphasizing its rough characteristics and textural façade, while also creating sleek new condos. CW Urban has taken a front seat in new home construction in the greater Salt Lake area in hopes of increasing much needed home supply and helping the affordable housing crisis.
